Today was our first day for "question of the day," and I showed them how there will be a whiteboard question each morning and they will write responses to it.
Our first question,
What did you do with your family this past weekend?
I helped them to read through the responses
- Read a book
- Go to the playground
- Go to the pool
- Visit with friends
- Other
I love their tally marks! This group of youngsters loved the thrill of drawing lines in each column.
Yes, this is the beginning of the year with preschoolers. We will watch them develop more and more control in their handwriting - and lots more understanding of the question itself.
